Birds of Derby have purchased two Convecta 10 ovens
from Tom Chandley and have installed them in both of
their retail outlets in Derby. The company, which began
in 1919, has recently opened the Birds Expresso shop
in Derby’s Eagle Centre.The shop is an entirely new
venture for the company as it offers a take-away sandwich
and confectionery service.
The Convecta 10 oven has many features
which are ideal for bake-off applications, they include
user friendly controls which can provide digital read-out
of temperature, thermostat, bake timer, on/off power,
electronic damper control and optional steam injection.
Birds purchased the ovens from Tom
Chandley because of the excellent working relationship
they had already developed.
Birds are able to use the ovens for
producing a wide range of savouries including puff pastries,
sausage rolls, chicken and mushroom pasties and Cornish
pasties.
